I read two books in December (work was killing me). Anatole Broyard's memoir about Greenwich Village in the 1940s and 50s was great. I wrote about it at length, here. Orhan Pamuk's Nobel Prize-winning wannabe mind-bender was Meh. I wrote about it, briefly, here.
